Katy Pistole was born in Alexandria, VA and spent most of her growing-up years in Africa, Botswana and Nigeria to be exact. In Botswana she received her life-long desire ... a horse. The Lord used that horse to draw Katy to Himself and she has been His ever since. Today He continues to show Katy His Truth about brokenness, identity, and surrender through her horses.

In the mid 1990's Katy got an idea for a horse story. It was based on her story and how God used horses to reveal Himself to her. Grace Ministries came into Katy's life at just the right moment -- imagine that! Katy drank deeply from a new understanding of who Christ was and is in her life ... that in fact, He is her very Life. And He rose to give that New Covenant Life to all who believe.
